Versado Malbec 2014

Old, glacial irrigated vines at a not so insignificant 1000m of altitude are the source for Ann Sperling and Peter Gamble's Versado. The 2014 malbec is exceptionally floral, penetratingly spicy and deep into its own repentant terroir. The heights are assessed and acquiesced with great interest in malbec with an intensity of lift like few other. It's a curious case of do I enjoy this now at its high tone stage or do I let it settle so that the flowers and the fruit are brought back down to the Luján de Cuyo earth? The easy way out is both.
