Soreka Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Aged for nine months in two year old French oak and then for four months in two year old American oak barrels. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol. Rather powerful on opening, it has some notable tannic pop on the finish. There is a nose-wrinkling hint of funk and the Cabernet flavour profile is not exactly the most classic...It is more along the lines of a rustic, country red. It will do a lot better as a food wine than as a standalone sipper.
