Marziano Abbona Ravera Barolo 2011

The 2011 Barolo Terlo Ravera is quite a bit darker and more powerful than the Pressenda. Black cherries, mocha, plums, spices, new leather and tobacco hit the palate as this firm, tannic Barolo shows off its personality. There is plenty of vintage 2011 sweetness in the glass, but readers will need to give the Terlo Ravera at least another year for the tannins to soften.
