José Zuccardi Malbec 2014

The 2014 José Zuccardi is mostly Malbec with 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from Altamira and Gualtallary. It fermented in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in large oak foudres. There is great austerity and balance here, with more bone than flesh. There's never any excess ripeness, extraction or oak. Serious, focused, deep, mineral and long. Truly outstanding. 30,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2016. Drink Date: 2018-2022. Score - 94. (Luis Gutiérrez, robertparker.com, June 29, 2018)
