Herdade Paço do Conde 2015

In addition to wine, the Castelo Branco family makes extra virgin olive oil on their herdade (homestead) in the Alentejo region of Portugal. This blend of Aragonez, Trincadeira and Castelão features fresh red fruit and notes of earth, plum and spice. Balanced, with rich, dark replays and good acidity. Pair with feijoada (bean stew featuring beef or pork) or sip alongside some Gorgonzola. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2017)
