Donatella Cinelli Colombini Brunello di Montalcino 2012

Donatella Cinelli Colombini's 2012 Brunello di Montalcino has absorbed more of the summer heat (compared to the Prime Donne selection). The wine shows a round and supple personality with ripe cherry, blackberry preserves and dark spice. The bouquet is more approachable and immediately appealing. This is a fantastic wine to eat in the near term. I can't help but think of how good it would taste across from one of those juicy, boutique burgers you find at the best restaurants.
