De Bortoli Gulf Station Chardonnay 2016

The Yarra Valley is one of the coolest growing regions in Australia and was first planted in 1838, making it one of the oldest regions in the country. Founded in 1928, De Bortoli is one of the most recognizable and iconic names in Australian wine and is a member of Australia's First Families of Wine, an organization of 12 of Australia's most important and historic family-run wineries. The 2016 Gulf Station Chardonnay is floral and pretty, with crisp, fresh acidity, citrus notes and a creamy texture. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2016)
