De Bortoli G.S. Pinot Noir 2017

Wow. This is such an interesting Pinot from a producer that has been at the wine game since 1928. Very complex and layered on the nose. It started off quite meaty, but with some time and air it opened up to suggest gorgeous floral, red fruit, fresh herb and spice tones. Fresh and lithe with bright acidity, wonderful replays and excellent balance. This is an elegant, sophisticated wine that has a European refinement to it. Enjoy with medium-rare rack of lamb.
