Confesor 2004
750mL bottleThe flagship 2004 Confesor comes from a two-hectare plot of 73-year-old vines that yield 1kg per vine, made from Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. After de-stemming and crushing, it is fermented in an open barrel where it is raised over 14 months. It has a very complex bouquet of effervescent red-berry fruit, blood orange, chalk and crushed stone that is beautifully defined. The palate is very well-balanced with fine but grippy tannins. It is very natural, with a rustic pedigree and superb freshness and personality towards the finish. Superb. Drink 2015-2025+. Score - 94. (Neal Martin, robertparker.com, Aug. 2012)
