Cicchitti Gran Reserva Malbec 2008

The 2008 Gran Reserva Malbec (the Reserva and Gran Reserva designations do not carry the specificity that they do in Rioja, Spain) was sourced from 50+-year-old vines and aged for 12 months in new French and American oak. Notions of pain grille, pencil lead, lavender, Asian spices, and black cherry point to a Malbec of exceptional finesse and proportionality.
