Château des Charmes Old Vines Riesling 2015

Château des Charmes planted their first Riesling vines in 1978, and it's from these mature vines that this wine is produced. The 2015 is showing some maturing mineral oil and petrol tones, but the peach, apricot, apple, lime and lemon are still quite prominent. There's also a delightful honey note in the mix, as well as a refined mineral tone. Nervy, satisfying and perfect for seafood or fish. (Vintages panel, March 2018)
