Château de Lafaurie-Monbadon 2015

Far too many people are scared off by Bordeaux's reputation, shying away from these wines because of the assumption that they command high prices. But as this 2015 from Château de Lafaurie-Monbadon demonstrates, Bordeaux is also home to great value as well as super-premium wines. This is mostly Merlot with Cab Sauv and Franc, and has impressive, forward rich black fruit and cassis with touches of spice.
