The 2012 vintage was estate-grown in the Awatere Valley and mostly handled in tanks; 10 per cent was fermented in seasoned oak barriques. Mouthfilling and finely poised, it is ripely herbaceous, with some 'tomato stalk' notes, excellent delicacy and intensity, a touch of complexity, and a crisp, racy finish. Drink till 2015.
