Alejandro Fernández Dehesa La Granja 2008

Generously spicy and wood-inflected, this is clean, cedar and sandalwood-scented, exotic and complex, with a wide range of fruit, earth, spice and herb flavours. The palate has great presence, mouth filling and generous without heaviness, and terrific length. This is the best Dehesa I can remember tasting - a superb value. Really lovely, solid wine; beware the heavy sediment that has already been thrown - you'll want to stand this up for a day and decant. Score - 92. (John Szabo, MS, winealign.com, July 2016)
